Date: Lunar New Year 1999 (16-17 February 1999)
Destination: Ngon-Ping Plateau, Sai Kung
Aim: Wild camping with little hiking
Crews: Leader Mou, Oldfield, Chi-kong, Fuller, Frankie Lee, Eddie Chan and Keith

After going half of the way by *TAXI*, we walked a little while. After walking that little while, we stopped and took some photographs with the total view of the Sai Kung, which is probably our most favorite camping place! Our mode of wild-camping has been kept changing with our age. It is intended to keep Keith into the picture frame for he is part of the natural environment.

Okay, we finally got to our destination. It is the highest part around us and yet manageable to us. After picking some wood for burning so that we could sleep a bit later, we saw the sunset. One clever guy picked up my point-and-shot (or in HK term, idiot) camera to shot at the dropping sun. Here we goes!

The sun went away fairly quickly and it's time for dinner. Mr. Eddie Chan and Lead Mou was preparing the most famous food for our wild-camping:- tomato with eggs. You could see two seasons here: outside the camp, you could see people dressing in Winter, and inside the camp, i.e. the gentleman on the left, was wearing short cloths. It is important to note that, one people was missing except the one who's holding the camera (that's me). There were three chairs inside this photograph, and the one nearest you is called the "portable Oxford Dictionary edition chair", and you know what it means?

That's the solid evidence of our crime, but we would put it off before sleeping.

That's the last photograph, notice that the date was still 16 Feb 1999, that means we slept really early.

A side note: The HK observatory forecasted that it's cloudy overnight. However, the sky is quite clear, though hazy that night. There're lots of stars in the sky, we could recognize the Orion, the Big Dog and the Small Dog, the Gemini, etc . We saw the Jupiter, the Venus and the Saturn. We could also see the Big Dipper, the Leo, and quite a number of the others. I've brought my pair of binoculars and we have seen the Pleaides (seven sister cluster) and the Orion Nebula (M42). My binoculars were soaked suddenly by dew due to radiant cooling, and finally the fire helped me to dry it. Luckily, I haven't brought my Ranger there. I guess I have to do something to prevent the dew. Let's watch the starry sky next time!

Most photographs are missing.
